Admissions Process

 

The 2026-2027 Admissions Season opens October 20, 2025. Please contact Cathy Struder, Admissions Director, at admissions@goodshepherdschoolva.com or by phone or text at (703) 999-7947 for a tour of Good Shepherd School.

The admissions process is designed to introduce families to the Classical philosophies and to ensure a good fit between your child and Good Shepherd School. Be sure to ask any questions you might have. We are happy to talk through anything!

Important Dates: Enrollment/Re-enrollment

February 2 (Monday): Re-enrollment Invitations Mailed

February 2 (Monday): New Applications Due

February 17 (Tuesday): Re-enrollment Acceptances from Families Due with Re-enrollment Fee

February 23 (Monday): New Applicants Enrollment Offers Mailed

March 9 (Monday): New Applicants Decisions Due. 10% Billed and Due within ten business days via FACTS to Secure Student Enrollment for the next Academic Year. This amount will be based on the family tuition, and financial aid adjustments will be made on a family’s future payment schedule.

March 30 (Monday): Financial Aid Applications Due

April 30 (Thursday): Financial Aid Awards Issued

May 11 (Monday): Financial Aid Awards Accepted or Denied. If Financial Aid Award is not accepted, the 10% deposit will be refunded, and re-enrollment/application fees will be forfeited. This is the last opportunity to receive 10% deposit refunded in the event of future withdrawal.

Submit an Application

You may submit an application and application fee starting October 20, 2025. The application forms can be found by clicking here.

Family Interview, Student Shadow Day, Student Placement

If you think Good Shepherd School is right for your child, an interview for both parents and your child will be scheduled.  We will call you to schedule both your Parent Interview and Student Shadow Day once your application is complete.

Early Jan – Mar: Financial Aid

Financial aid is an optional part of the application process. To apply, families must set up a FACTS account, or access their existing account to complete the application.

The aid period closes on March 30, 2026.

​March: Admission and Deposit

The first round of Admissions decisions for the 2026-2027 academic year will be released in March, and a deposit of 10% tuition will be due. This deposit is required to hold your child’s place in class.

Rolling Admissions and Waitlist

Student applications received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis.
