About Mrs. Wickman
Mrs. Wickman started working at Good Shepherd School in Fall 2022 as Classical Kindergarten assistant. Mrs. Wickman quickly became a beloved part of our school community, where she quickly grew to appreciate the beauty and depth of classical Catholic education. Her time in our classrooms gave her firsthand insight into the richness of our curriculum and the spiritual formation we offer our students.
Prior to joining our school, Mrs. Wickman served for 12 years in the Special Education Resource Department of Loudoun County Public Schools. There, she developed a deep understanding of how to support and guide young learners, meeting each child with patience, compassion, and a commitment to their growth.
When the opportunity arose to teach full time, Mrs. Wickman joyfully accepted the call. We are confident that her warmth, dedication, and experience will be a great blessing to our first grade students and to the entire school community.
Mrs. Wickman grew up in England and moved to Germany in 1989 after she met and married her husband, Chris, who was stationed in Bamberg with the U.S. Army. The Wickman’s moved to Virginia in 1998. Their daughter, Marnie, is a service member in the U.S. Air Force.
Mrs. Wickman was welcomed and baptized into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 2023. She credits the 2022-2023 Classical Kindergarten class, Mrs. Roach and Mrs. Nolan for opening her eyes to the joys of the Catholic faith. Her husband, Chris, is a life-long Catholic, and they attend Mass at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
